May Homeowner Checklist

Spring is finally here, and with it comes the perfect opportunity to give your home a fresh start. As your trusted real estate agent, I've put together a homeowner cleaning checklist to help you get your home ready for the season.
1. Declutter and organize
Start by going through each room in your home and decluttering any unnecessary items. Donate, sell or discard items that are no longer in use or don't bring you joy. Once you've decluttered, organize the remaining items in a way that makes sense to you.
2. Clean your windows
Open your windows and let the fresh air in! Clean your windows inside and out, including the frames and sills.
3. Clean your floors
Vacuum and mop your floors, paying extra attention to high-traffic areas. For carpets, consider getting them professionally cleaned.
4. Deep clean your kitchen
The kitchen is often the heart of the home, so it's important to give it a deep clean. Wipe down all surfaces, including cabinets and appliances. Don't forget to clean your oven, fridge, and dishwasher.
5. Freshen up your bedrooms
Wash your bedding, including pillows, duvets, and throws. Dust and vacuum your bedroom, and organize your closet.
6. Tackle your outdoor spaces
If you have outdoor spaces, such as a patio or balcony, take the time to clean and spruce them up. Sweep away any debris, wipe down outdoor furniture, and add some plants or flowers to brighten up the space.
By following this homeowner cleaning checklist, you'll be able to enjoy a fresh and clean home this spring. As always, I'm here to help with all your real estate needs. If you're thinking of buying or selling a home, don't hesitate to reach out to me for guidance and support.
Happy spring cleaning!
